Just 3 miles from downtown Columbia, Forest Acres has its own vibe, its own upscale shopping areas, and its own identity. Forest Acres is an easy, quick commute to downtown Columbia, USC and Fort Jackson, and it offers easy access to Interstate 77, the highway that runs between Columbia and Charlotte.

Forest Acres is actually a collection of several smaller subdivisions, including Jackson Heights, also known as The College Streets, since the roads are named for South Carolina colleges including Furman, Coker and Clemson, with Citadel Park in the middle.
